BREXIT and Medicine Stockpiling

Further to a communication from the Secretary of State for Health, GPs have been asked to advise patients that the Government is working with the pharmaceutical industry to ensure a continued supply of medicines from the moment we leave the EU; patients are being asked not to store additional medicines at home.

The pharmaceutical industry has been asked to ensure  that they have a minimum of six weeks additional stock above their ‘business as usual’ stock by 29th March 2019 to prepare for a possible ‘no deal’ scenario.

Please do no stockpile extra medication.
